My dream has always been to finish high school and continue school to further my education. I would want to have a family of my own and have a good paying job to be able to support them. But after reading both of these articles, “Crazy” and “Generation Screwed”. I am starting to fear that im not going to be able to fulfill my dreams. In the article “Crazy” I read how technology has now become one of the biggest problems and how it can get in our way of our education. For example excessive time on the computer, cell phone, ect. On the second article “ Generation Screwed” I read about the struggles of finding a job after High School and college .Those are both big obstacles for a good career.
Finding a good paying job has always been a hard task. After reading the article ‘Generation Screwed” , ii have learned that it’s even harder to find a job, even with a college education. College graduates are now competing with high school graduates for a good salary job. For the reason being that a lot of these jobs don’t require a college education. As stated in the article “Generation Screwed” . “ Over 43 percent of recent graduates now working , according to a recent report by the Heldrich Center for work force development, are at jobs that require a college education’. It seems like you don’t even need to attend a college. You will be receiving the same type of offers as a high school graduate because there isn’t enough jobs.
Finding a job has never been easy. With the Bad economy now , finding a job has now become a bigger problem. There just isn’t enough jobs for everybody even with a good background education. People with college education are now competing with people without a college education. This whole situation has just gotten harder, I feel like it’s going to be a struggle for me
